Cooking Time : 30 minutes
Ingredients :
| Basmati Rice |
1/2 Cup (100 gm) |
| Cow's Milk |
1 Litre |
| Sugar |
100 gm |
| Almonds (coarsely chopped) |
1/4 Cup (40 gm) |
| Silver Varakh (for decoration) |
1 Sheet |
| Pistachios (sliced fine) |
1/4 Cup ( 40 gm)

Method :
- Wash and soak the rice for half an hour.
- Mix with half cup milk and grind to a very fine paste.
- Add the remaining milk to the rice paste.
- Stir well and cook for 10 minutes or until thick.
- Add sugar and stir till the sugar dissolves.
- Add the almonds.
- Remove from heat and keep aside to cool.
- Phirni may be moulded.
- Decorate with silver varakh and pistachios.
- Serve chilled.
