Cooking Time : 50 minutes

Ingredients :

Ghee 1/4 Cup (50 gm)
Rawa 1 Cup (200 gm)
Gramflour (besan) 1/2 Cup (100 gm)
Grated Coconut 1/2 Cup (40 gm)
Cashewnuts (chopped) 10
Sugar 2 Cups (400 gm)
Cardamoms (powdered) 8
Nutmeg (powder) 1/2 Tsp (2 gm)

Method :

  • Heat a little ghee in a heavy bottomed pan and roast the rawa till a fine aroma emanates.
  • Remove from the pan from heat and keep aside.
  • Add a little ghee, add gramflour and roast till brown.
  • Remove and keep aside.
  • Lastly add more ghee and fry the grated coconut and finely chopped cashewnuts.
  • Saute for five minutes.
  • Mix all the fried ingredients.
  • Put half cup water and two cups sugar in another heavy bottomed pan and bring to a boil to obtain sugar syrup of one string consistency.
  • Add the roasted rawa, gramflour and coconut to the sugar syrup. Also add cardamom powder and nutmeg powder.
  • Stir well and keep aside to cool.
  • Take handfuls of the mixture and roll into laddus.
