Ingredients :

| Drinking Chocolate |
4 tbsp (60 gm) |
| Vanilla Essence |
1/2 tsp (2 ml) |
| Sugar |
250 gm |
| Butter |
1 tbsp (15 gm) |
| Almonds (sliced fine) |
50 gm |
| Pistachios (sliced fine) |
50 gm |
Method :
- Bring the milk to a boil in a heavy bottomed pan,reserving a little for later use.
- Keep stirring till reduced to a thick paste.
- Dissolve drinking chocolate in the milk kept aside to a smooth paste and add to the milk.
- Add vanila essence and mix well.
- Lower the heat and keep stirring till the mixture is quite thick.
- Add sugar and stir till the sugar is dissolved.
- Add butter and continue to stir till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan and is firm to the touch.
- Pour the chocolate barfi mixture into a flate greased plate.
- Level with a flat spoon.
- Sprinkle chopped almonds and pistachios over the barfi and gently press the nuts while still warm.
- When slightly cool, cut into desired shaped pieces.
