Method:
- Combine all the syrup ingredients in a large heat-proof dish.Cook for 6 minutes on HIGH, stirring occasionally to dissolve sugar.
- Sift flour; add sugar, butter, egg and enough water to combine.(Mixture should be thick enough to roll into balls).
- Roll the dough into walnut-size balls and drop into boiling syrup, allowing enough room for spreading.
- Cover the dish with a lid or a plastic wrap.
- Cook for 11/2- 2 minutes on HIGH.Turn halfway through cooking.
- Serve hot with whipped cream.
