Hot Chocolate Souffle

Cooking Time: 45 min

Ingredients:

Butter
60g
Plain Flour
1/2 cup
Cocoa Powder
2 tbsp
Milk
300 mL
Vanilla Essence
1 tbsp
Eggs(separated
4 nos
Caster Sugar
1/3 cup

Method:

  • Melt butter in a bowl for 30 seconds on HIGH.Beat in flour andcocoa powder.
  • Add milk to mixture, stirring well.
  • Cook for 4 minutes on High, stirring twice.Add vanilla.Alow mixture to cool slightly.
  • Beat in yolks one at a time.
  • Preheat oven to 200o C.
  • Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.Gradually add caster sugar until peaks are stiff.
  • Gently fold beaten egg whites onto a chocolate sauce.
  • Pour mixture into greased and sugared 6-cup souffle dish.
  • Bake for 20-22 minutes on convection 200o C.
  • Dust with icing sugar.
  • Serve hot with whipped cream.
