Ingredients :

Thickened Ricotta Cheese(Mawa, Khoya)
1 kg
Sugar Syrup
1 1/2 kg
Pistachios
100 gms
Ghee
250 gms
Cardamoms(green elaichi)
10-15 nos
Kewda Essence
1 tbsp
Silver Work
to garnish

Method :

  • Heat khoya (mawa) on a low flame.Keep note that it does not turn red.
  • Pour sugar syrup in it and stir continuously.
  • When it becomes sticky, then add crushed cardamons powder, kewda essence.
  • Grease pan with ghee and pour kalakand in it.
  • Sprinkle cardamoms powder, crushed pistachios and silver work on it.
  • Cut into evenly sized pieces.
