Cooking Time : 45 minutes

Ingredients :

Flour(maida) 75 gms
Milk 1 cup
Saffron(kesar) 5-6 strings
Edible Silver foil to garnish
Pistachios 10-12 nos
Ghee for frying
Thickened Ricotta Cheese(khoya, mawa) or Cream 125 gms
Sugar 350 gms
Salt a pinch

Method :

  • Mix flour and khoya properly, add 2 tbsp ghee and mix it.
  • Make sure there are no lumps.
  • Add salt and milk to it and make hard dough.
  • Make 3 medium equal sized balls and roll it.
  • Spread ghee in the middle and place all the 3 rolls one above the other.
  • Then roll it again.
  • Cut into different shapes and deep fry it in ghee.
  • Take sugar syrup and add 1 tsp milk into it.Sprinkle saffron (kesar) on it.
  • Dip the fried pieces into sugar syrup for 30 mins.
  • Remove from sugar syrup and garnish with pistachios.
