Cooking Time : 30 minutes plus baking time

Method :
- Line and grease a cake tin. Beat the butter and sugar together until light & fluffy, then beat in the melted chocolate.
- Beat the egg yolk into the creamed mixture and then beat in the ground almonds and sifted flour.
- Whisk the egg whites until stiff & carefully fold into the cake mixture in a figure of eight motion with a metal spoon.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared cake tin and bake in a preheated oven 160 C for 50 minutes - 1 hour.
- Leave the cake in the tin for 5 minutes, then turn out and cool on a wire rack.
- Beat the icing ingredients in a bowl over a pan of hot water. cool slightly then spread 3 quaters of the icing over the cake and leave to set.
- Place the remaining icing in a small piping bag fitted with a writing nozzle and pipe attractive lines over the top.
- At the time of serving just microwave for few seconds so that it feels that it is made just a few seconds back.
