Goan Fish Curry

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

Fish(cut into pieces) 500 gms
Onion(large) 1 nos
Garlic Flakes 3-4
Ginger 1/2 "
Tomato 1 nos
Coconut Milk 1 cup
Red Chilli Paste 1 tsp
Tamarind Paste 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder 1/4 tsp
Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
Oil 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Lemon Juice 1 tbsp
Red Chilli Powder 1/4 tsp

Method:

  • Wash the fish fillets and apply lemon juice, salt and red chilli powder. Keep aside for 15-20 mins.
  • Make a Paste of onion, garlic, ginger, tomato in a blender.
  • Take a microwave safe bowl and microwaveoil at 100% power for 30 secs.
  • Add groundspices paste, salt, turmeric powder and microwave at 100% power for 4 mins.Stir in between.
  • Add garam masala, red chilli paste and microwave at 100% power for 2 mins.
  • Add marinated fish and microwave at 60% power for 4 mins.
  • Lastly add coconut milk and tamarind paste and microwave at 60% power for 2-3 mins.Stir well.
  • Allow to stand for 5 mins.Relish with rice or roti.
