Arhar Dal (Toovar Dal) with Burnt Garlic |
Cooking Time : 30 MinutesIngredients:
Toovar Dal Water Ghee Salt Haldi Rai/Mustard Seeds Curry Leaves Green Chillies Hing Kokum Garlic |
1 cup 4 - 5 cups 1 Tsp 1 tsp / To Taste 1/4 Tsp 1/2 Tsp 10 - 12 1 chopped 1-2 Pinch 6 - 7 Pieces 5-6 Cloves Finely chopper. | Fresh Coriander leaves for Garnishing Method:- Wash the dal well in running water and add water to it.
- Pressure cook the dal with water, salt, haldi and Kokum. Put the flame off After two whistles.
- In another pan prepare Tadka for the dal. Heat ghee in a pan and then add Hing to it.
- Add Rai and let it flutter. When done add Green chillies and curry leaver.
- Add chopper garlic and cook till garlic is brown in color.
- Remove the pan from flame and add to the boiled dal.
- After adding mix well and bring the Dal to Boil.
- Garnish with fresh leaves of coriander.
- Serve Hot with Rice or Chapati.
