Arhar Dal with Jeera

Cooking Time : 30 Minutes

Ingredients : 

Toovar Dal                               
Water                                     
Ghee                                      
Salt                                        
Haldi                                       
Red Chilli Powder                      
Zeera                                      
Hing

1 cup
4 - 5 cups
1 Tsp
1 tsp / To Taste
1/4 Tsp
1/4 Tsp
1 Tsp
1-2 Pinch

Method :

  • Wash the dal well in running water and add water to it.
  • Pressure cook the dal with water, salt and haldi. Put the flame of After two whistles.
  • In another pan prepare Tadka for the dal. Heat ghee in a pan and then add Hing to it.
  • Add Jeera and let it flutter. When the jeera is done add red chilli powder.
  • Remove the pan from flame and add to the boiled dal.
  • After adding mix well and bring the Dal to Boil.
  • Garnish with fresh leaves of coriander.
  • Serve Hot with Rice or Chapati.
