Method :
- Peel and mash the boiled potatoes.
- Wash and soak chana dal in a cup of water for 1/2 an hour. Boil soaked dal with 1 cup of water in a pressure cooker. Give one whistle and let it stay on sim for five minutes.
- Make a smooth mixture of mashed potatoes and bread crumbs.
- Mix dal with all the ingredients i.e. chat masala, garam masala, red chilli powder, green hillies, salt and coriander leaves. Keep aside.
- Make small balls of the potato mixture, applying little oil on your hands. Fill with above mixture and shape them into small tikkis.
- Preheat oven at 250 degree C at convection mode.
- Place the prepared tikkis on greased microwave safe flat dish on high rack and bake at 250 degree C for 25-30 mins. Reposition frequently for uniform browing. Relish with green chutney and sonth.
- You can also shallow fry the tikkis on gas using heavy bottomed tawa.
