Khoya-Makhane Ki Subzi

Cooking Time : 45 minutes

Ingredients :

Thickened Ricotta Cheese(khoya, mawa) 400 gms
Tomatoes 500 gms
Green Chillies 4 nos
Ghee 300 gms
Curd 250 gms
Popped Lotus Seeds(makhane) 400 gms
Ginger 50 gms
Coriander Powder 2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder 2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder 2 tsp
Salt to taste

Method :

  • Heat a pan and add khoya to it.Heat it on low flame.Make sure it doesnt becomes red.
  • Heat oil in another pan and fry popped lotus seeds (makhane).
  • Boil tomatoes in 2 cups of water.And make puree out of it.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add chopped ginger, chopped green chillies, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and saute it.
  • Then add tomato puree, curd, khoya, salt and fried popped lotus seeds (makhane) and saute it for 5-6 mins.
  • Add water as required and heat it again.
  • Remove from flame when cooked completely.
  • Serve with roti/naan.
