Ingredients :
| Basmati Rice |
1/2 kg |
| Spinach(palak) |
250 gms |
| Ghee or Butter |
2 tbsp |
| Edible Food Colour |
a pinch |
| Salt |
to taste |
Method :
- Cook spinach and grind it.
- Heat ghee or butter in a pan and add grind spinach to it.Heat it until all the excess water from spinach evaporates.
- Soak rice for 1/2 an hour and cook it.
- Divide the rice into four different portions.
- Mix spinach in 1 part,yellow edible food colour in the 2 part, orange edible food colour in 3 part and keep the 4 part as it is.
- Put these according to layer after layer of different parts.
- Press it from upper side.
- Place it in a bowl and garnish it with chopped onions and tomato sauce.
