Cooking Time : 30 minutes

Ingredients :

Basmati Rice 1/2 kg
Spinach(palak) 250 gms
Ghee or Butter 2 tbsp
Edible Food Colour a pinch
Salt to taste

Method :

  • Cook spinach and grind it.
  • Heat ghee or butter in a pan and add grind spinach to it.Heat it until all the excess water from spinach evaporates.
  • Soak rice for 1/2 an hour and cook it.
  • Divide the rice into four different portions.
  • Mix spinach in 1 part,yellow edible food colour in the 2 part, orange edible food colour in 3 part and keep the 4 part as it is.
  • Put these according to layer after layer of different parts.
  • Press it from upper side.
  • Place it in a bowl and garnish it with chopped onions and tomato sauce.
