Cooking Time : 30 minutes plus soaking time

Ingredients :

Lentils (Masoor Dal) 1/2 Cup
Dry White Peas
1/2 Cup
Salt
To Taste
Ajwain 1 Tsp
Cornflour 4 Tsp
Garam Masala
1 Tsp
Cottage Cheese Mashed
100 gm
Green Chili & Ginger Paste (For Filling)
1 Tsp
Onion (Chopped) 1
Hung Curd 2 Tbsp
Green Chillies Chopped 3
Ginger Finely Chopped 1/2 Tbsp
Garlic Chopped 1 Tbsp
Coriander Leaves Chopped 2 Tbsp
Lemon Juice 1 Tsp
Salt
Capsicum Chopped 2 Tsp

Method :

  • Mix all the filling ingredients together and set aside.
  • Soak the lentils and white peas for eight hours .
  • Pressure cook till done.
  • Drain thouroughly.
  • Cool and blend to a smooth paste ensuring there is no excess water.
  • Add all the other ingredients and form a dough like mixture.
  • Lightly grease hands and take a little dough and flatten it to form a disc.
  • Place a little filling in the center, cover it completely with dough and deep fry in hot oil till crisp and golden.
  • Serve hot.
