Method:
- Wash and chop tomatoes. Microwave (covered) in a microwave safe bowl at 100% fpr 4-5 mins. with 1/2 cup water and allow tostand for 5 mins.
- Blend the tomatoes in the blender and strain it to form a puree.
- In another microsafe bowl microwave oil at 100% for 30 secs.
- Add asafoetida, mustard seeds , curry leaves, dried red chilli and microwave at 100% power for 1 min. Add tamarind paste, tomato puree, salt and 4 cup of water to it. Microwave at 100% power for 4-5 mins.
- Sprinkle roasted cumin seeds powder before serving. Serve hot.
