Cooking Time: 20 min

Ingredients:

Tomato(large) 4 nos
Tamarind Pulp(imli) 3 tbsp
Chilli Powder
1/2 tsp
Roasted Cumin Seeds(jeera powder) 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida(hing) a pinch
Salt & Black Pepper to taste
Oil 1 tbsp
Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves 5-6
Dry Red Chillies 2 nos
Water 4 cup

Method:

  • Wash and chop tomatoes. Microwave (covered) in a microwave safe bowl at 100% fpr 4-5 mins. with 1/2 cup water and allow tostand for 5 mins.
  • Blend the tomatoes in the blender and strain it to form a puree.
  • In another microsafe bowl microwave oil at 100% for 30 secs.
  • Add asafoetida, mustard seeds , curry leaves, dried red chilli and microwave at 100% power for 1 min. Add tamarind paste, tomato puree, salt and 4 cup of water to it. Microwave at 100% power for 4-5 mins.
  • Sprinkle roasted cumin seeds powder before serving. Serve hot.
