Cooking Time : 30 minutes plus Baking Time

Ingredients :

Idli Mix
1/2 Kg
Rai (Mustard Seeds)
1 Tsp
Curry Leaves
2 Tbsp
Oil 1 Tbsp
Carrot 1 Shredded
Onion 2 Sliced
Cabbage 1/4 Shredded
Capsicum 1 Chopped
Beet root 1/2 Chopped
Salt To Taste
Green Chillies
2 Sliced
Chilli Powder
1/4 Tsp
Green Coriander
1 Tbsp

Method :

  • Mix Little salt in the idli mix and mix well.
  • Then pour the mixture in idli maker and steam the idlis in a pressure cooker on high flame for 10 minutes and then on low flame for 15 minutes. Check if the idlis are still not done then steam for some more time. ( Tip: Fill the pressure cooker with one glass water and then put the idli maker)
  • In the mean time, Heat karahi and add oil.
  • When the oil is hot add mustard seeds and cook them for half minute. Then add curry leaves and green chillies and cook for another 30 seconds.
  • Then add onion and cook till they are translucent.
  • Then add all the remaining vegetables, salt to taste, Red chilli powder and cook till vegetable are done.
  • Then add Idlis ( Cut an idli into 4 pieces in case idlis are big in size) and mix well.
  • Add fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
