Cooking Time : 15 Minutes plus soaking and fermenting time

Ingredients :

Rice (Sela)
1 cup
Urad Dal
1/2 cup
Tomatoes
1
Onion
2
Mustard Seeds
1/4 Tsp
Ghee
For shallow frying
Salt
To taste

Method :

  • Clean, Wash and soak dal and rice seperately for 6-8 hours.
  • Grind them to a paste using no or little water.
  • Keep it for fermentation for few hours.
  • Finely chop onion and tomatoes and add mustard seeds, salt and chilli powder to it.
  • On a flat Pan/Tawa rub Half onion piece.
  • Now pour the dal and rice mix onto the tawa using a deep spoon and make it round and 1/2 inch thick.
  • After half minute apple ghee on all the sides.
  • Now apply veg mix on it and cook covered for 2 minutes.
  • Turn it and cook till done.
  • Serve hote with coconut chutney.
