1 Lemon sized ball |

2 Cut into slices |

Method :

clean, wash and pressure cook dal with 4 cups of water and 1 tsp of salt.

After the first whistle keep on slow fire for 20 minutes.

Wash imli and boil with 1 cup water. Let it cool.

Extract the pulp from it and keep aside.

Crush garlic and ginger roughly to a paste.

Heat 2 tbsp ghee and add rai, zeera, and dried red chillies broken into bits.

Add the onions. cook on low flame till onions turn brown.

Add imli and boil for 1 minute.

Add sambhar powder and cook for 1/2 minute.

Add ginger garlic paste and cook for another 1/2 minute.

Add the boiled dal and salt to taste. Add water if required. boil stirring occassionally for 15 minutes on low flame.

Garnish with coriander leaves.
